Rampage 2010 was supposed to be the night that AXEL Action came into his own and took control of his life. It was the night that everything was going to be set right and a dream was to be realized. It just simply wasn't to be.
After enduring months of mental and emotional torture, first at the hands of Dan Black then Vivica J. Valentine and fighting for nothing more than a chance, it all came to a head at Worldwide 131. Something snapped inside the head of AXEL Action as he watched the Bulletproof Blonde burn what was left of his valuables, items which included his newly-made tights, his dog's collar and the only picture he had left of himself and his brother, Ace.
Reduced to a state of borderline insanity, he spent the following week hiding in the shadows and waiting for the perfect time to strike. The Angel of Vengeance brought his wrath crashing down on the United States champion by driving her head-first through the catering table.
Just when it seemed he didn't have anyone else to lean on, help came in the most unexpected of people. GCW reporter, Ayake Sonoda came looking for AXEL and came bearing gifts, as well. The gift she brought wasn't exactly the gift of happiness, but it was the one thing Action had been longing for: the GCW United States Championship.
Come Rampage, AXEL had the chance to make the championship officially his for the second time. His hopes of reclaiming his former glory and attaining retribution were crushed when the match started off with his throat being jammed into the edge of a steel chair as it was trapped between himself and the floor. The champion spent the entire match working over Action's throat and neck, the end result being a crushed larynx and broken dreams.
In an interview conducted by the aformentioned Ms. Sonoda, Dr. Hideo Akiyama stated that, "AXEL's larynx was completely destroyed in the assault and while we were able to stop the bleeding and repair the injury, there's a possibility he may never speak another word again." It's up in the air right now as to when he'll make his return; could be three to four weeks, maybe more, maybe less. One thing's for certain, though. When he does make his return, he's bringing Hell with him and all of the fury it contains.
We here at GCW wish AXEL Action all the best and a speedy recovery.
