GCW officials announced today that, through a deal with the small Japanese independent promotion WORLD WARRIORS, they would be bringing across the Pacific a warrior known as Bhava.
"Global Championship Wrestling is always looking to live up to its name with talent acquisitions," said one source within the company. "When WORLD WARRIORS offered us one of their talents, after doing our necessary research, we were more than happy to accept their offer."
Bhava, previously known on the Canadian independent scene as "The Canadian Phoenix" Gerard Roy, comes to GCW with three years of professional wrestling experience in both Canada and Japan. Why he has chosen to scrap that moniker and come to America under the name of Bhava is unknown, and attempts to reach Bhava for this article were unsuccessful.
What is known, however, is that Bhava brings to GCW the hard-hitting Japanese cruiserweight style, mixed with his own unique flair. Billed during his recent appearances in WORLD WARRIORS as professional wrestling's first Zen Buddhist, he has become known for bizarre behavior and nigh-incomprehensible interviews.
"He says some strange things," our source admitted, "but it's nothing that can't be corrected by giving the boy a mouthpiece if no one can understand him."
Bhava's debut date is unknown at present time, with some expecting him to make his first appearance on WorldWide 135 if his paperwork is cleared.
