Tempest Trapped in China’s (In)Justice System?
With no formal charges and no real explanation of why she’s being detained, Chinese officials continue to hold Tempest, feeding the rumors that Christian Zenith is trying keep her from Rampage.

Word on the street from Hong Kong is that Tempest once again failed to get the hearing that would have possibly freed her in time for Rampage. This is pretty much the norm for Chinese justice and if it holds true to form, it will be years before we see her again. Luckily Steven Caldera’s high priced international lawyers have stepped in, after Garbage Bag Johnny got nothing but the red wall of silence and Amnesty International and The Dui Hua foundation got the usual run around. (And the irony of Steven Caldera and Amnesty International being on the same side of anything really can’t be overstated.)
But my sources (who remain anonymous because I like being able to pee standing up) say that unfortunately, Christian Zenith was on the case way ahead of these guys and got things tied up the usual way. "Look, the Chinese government’s new embrace of capitalism just means a new and more expensive brand of corruption. Instead of ideological zealotry, you’ve now got greed right out there without the mask. A guy like Zenith can still buy and sell half the government for pocket change. Of course he can tie up someone like Tempest in their judicial system. It’s a maze people get lost in and never come out of. But I think she will just because she’s famous. When? Whole other matter. Just look at that geologist guy. They screwed him over royally."
That bastard can really get going and pound down some Tsingtao while doing it, but he’s on target. China’s record, as evidenced by the case of Dr. Xue Feng that he referred to, is none too good as far as right to a speedy trial, to know the charges against you, any of that. No one’s even said that Tempest is charged with anything yet. "Detained for questioning" seems to be the official line.
Jimmy’s official line is that I call bullshit. Christian Zenith bought the bitch some time in the hotel Hong Kong with armed guards for embarrassing him. And Caldera may be hurting more than helping seeing as Zenith hates the big man even more than the little sparkly princess who rang his bell on Worldwide 131. It’s showdown time in Tiananmen Square kids, and with Tempest in the middle, someone’s going to get hurt. But it won’t be me. I’ll be hiding, as usual…
