Trying to implement a flow of stuff as it goes, This was the rough draft aspect, but wanted to touch bases everyone has suggested so please give me some feedback so i can make the adjustments i need. I tried to lead everyone through the week smoothly in what he was doing without revealing too much other than soemthings were going on. Please let me know what ya think seriously.
Walking to a rundown brick building is a large man in a trench coat ball cap on. The rain is pouring down as flashes of thunder and lightning are heard and seen. Reaching down the man opens the door and walks in. Shutting the door quietly the man turns to a coat rack and removes his hat, followed by his coat.
Turning as he speaks “Corie I need you to call the WWA offices and see if they still wish me to continue sending talent their way.” He turns and suddenly stops in shock.
Before him sits Shaman with his feet propped up on the desk. Shaman looks him straight in the eyes unmoving with little to no emotion. Shaman brings his feet off the desk as he leans forward.
“Well, well, well if it isn’t my old agent Tyson McClain.” Standing up from the desk he moves across the room and grasps the agents shoulder. He pulls the man back towards the desk giving him a bit of a shove.
“Have a seat Tyson we have some business to discuss.” Stepping near a magazine rack a magazine cover shows Colby Korver on the cover with Shaman. The title reads collision course or railroaded.
Sitting down Shaman grabs the magazine; He then opens it and begins to thumb through it. He looks up over at Tyson and smirks as he points at the magazine. “Guess you can say the kid earned his spot for the US Championship. He fought hard, but out thought and out did his opponent.”
Tyson looks at Shaman nervously as Shaman looks over the magazine. “Now Tyson since you do owe me quite a bit of money, I want you to look into this Korver kid and get me some history on him.”
Thumbing through the magazine as Tyson reaches into the desk and tosses a file on top of the desk towards Shaman. “Here is what I have on Colby Korver.” Tyson looks at Shaman nervously. Shaman simply observes Tyson’s actions.
“Little nervous there Tyson?” Grinning he leans forward rubbing his hands together. “I will let it all go free and clear if you get me the rest of the information that I need.” Tyson opens his eyes a bit wide surprised.
“R-Really?” Tyson responds as Shaman browses through the magazine. Shaking his head he nods. “Yes really Tyson this means I will drop the lawsuit and all of the money you owe me through the cheap and unethical contract.”
Standing up he places the magazine down on the desk. He pulls a pen out and signs the magazine as he grins. “For your trophy case Tyson, Get me that info or next time I will be here with a lawyer to take what is rightfully mine.” Turning he exits the door leaving the man named Tyson a bit confused.
“You need some serious help man.” Tyson frowns as the door reopens.
Shaman shakes his head. “That is on Thursday Tyson, mind your own business.”
Closing the door once again Shaman does not return leaving Tyson confused as to how he heard that comment.
2 days Later at a Psychiatrists office New York...
Inside the office is furnished with oak wood cabinets and shelves and old Victorian styled leather designed furniture. At the desk sits a man with little round glasses and a beard. On the couch nearby sits a large man known as Shaman, but today he is here for a different reason.
“So Mr. Whitecloud why is it you have been having doubts lately? The man taps a pen on a pad that he is holding.
Shaman sits there his eyes closed as he ponders. “You know I am not really sure anymore. It used to be as simple as frustration, but now it kind of feels that perhaps things have passed me by.”
The Psychiatrist writes something down as he raises hand and adjusts his glasses. “So do you feel a bit old compared to your competition?”
Taken a bit aback by the question, He is forced to actually think about it for a few moments. He asks himself without speaking was this, what it really is about. Thinking carefully as he responds to the Psychiatrist.
“You know I never really thought about it, maybe the business hasn’t passed me by maybe the competition has gotten younger and hungrier. There was a time when I was that hungry, I just feel sometimes that what I want is hard to achieve anymore.” Rubbing his forearms a bit he adjusts on the leather couch.
Reaching up and scratching his chin the man writes something else down and ponders a moment, fishing for his next questions. “Tell me your thoughts on Marcus Mancuso and Colby Korver?”
Turning his head he gazes at the Psychiatrist trying to get a read on him. The question was a straight forward question; this took him off guard for a bit. “Mancuso is a talented man and beat me in the Harrington Cup. Problem I have with this is I showed that not every wrestler is stupid and stuck in one mode.”
Stopping as he carefully chooses his words. “I played his game, wrestled his style, and showed that I could do it his way. Problem was I quit thinking during the match and just followed through. He was able to counter and beat me.” Closing his eyes once again, he attempts to get comfortable on the couch.
Raising his hand he opens his eyes and looks at it. “You know Korver is something different in my eyes. The kid reminds me of myself when I first came into the WWA back in 97. Hungry wanting to prove himself and show he ahs what it takes.” Sitting up slowly something finally this him, He realizes something of very important significance.
“It is like I am looking at a mirror of the past.” The Psychiatrist looks over at his patient as he raises an eyebrow at the response.
“Look Mr. Whitecloud my professional opinion on this matter is that you are just having some self doubts, Maybe perhaps part of yourself wants to call it quits and walk away all together.” Looking over the frames of his round glasses the Psychiatrist gauges the response carefully.
“Truth be told Doc there has been times I have asked myself why can I not do the simple things. Perhaps go play softball and then hang with the guys afterwards.” Opening and closing his hands he looks at the scars on his knuckles.
Turning his head looking at his patient he responds carefully. “Yet you aren’t thinking that, In fact I would hazard a guess that you think differently?”
Sitting forward resting his forearms on his knees, He turns his sights back at the Psychiatrist. “You are right Doc; I do see myself in a different aspect. I like the ring and what it has done for me and will always do. The ring has always been like a home for me.”
Clearing his throat as he looks upwards at the lights, “After all the years of betrayal, Fans hating and turning on me, Business disputes, and who knows what else. Yet in the end there is always the ring, what it stands for to me. The ring is my business office when I am not home at my Casino or my Bars.”
Clicking his pen, he begins writing on the pad a bit more. “Mr. Whitecloud I’d like to see you back again. I think you have buried some issues that you should talk about. You have anger and hatred issues I’d like to address.”
Cutting the Psychiatrist off Shaman stands up. “I’d rather not have you going further into my life poking and prodding. I am here to address the here and now.” Studying the mans features carefully he dares him to push further.
“Well it seems to me Mr. Whitecloud you need to take several steps forward before you fall so far back you cannot return.” Writing more on the pad then stopping, he carefully places the pen down on the desk in an orderly fashion.
Noticing this, Shaman looks around the top of the desk. “Let me tell you an observation I have seen, you like order. Everything has its place including your patients. One thing you don’t realize is that you should never look down at your patients, because one of them may be more than you can handle.”
The man narrows his gaze and then nods his head. “Now I see it clearly, you aren’t a stupid man, but you speak in terms that the normal people can understand. As in normal I am referring too is the common man.”
“Common man?” Growing a bit annoyed at the superior aspect of the Psychiatrist he shakes his head as he speaks. “This session is over, Go tell Babb that I will be at the next show as I always have been.”
Turning to the door he stops and looks over his shoulder. “I’d advise you to get out of your high-rise condo a bit and see the world from everyone else’s perspective before you are knocked off your pedestal.”
As Shaman leaves the office the door shuts, Leaving the Psychiatrist with some deep thoughts as he reaches to pick up the phone. He dials a number, waiting for the person he is calling to pick up.
Suddenly someone answers and he responds. “Yes I’d like to give my evaluation of Mr. Whitecloud also known as Shaman. He is mentally sounds and is quite stable; problem I see is he is a dangerous man and well in control. I do believe he enjoys what he does more than any man should. This aspect disturbs me a bit, but he has my approval to continue.”
He hangs up the phone afterwards as he looks at the closed door. “May God protect anyone he gets angry at?”
Shaman’s Journal Entry # 5…
There comes a time in a man’s life when he begins questioning who he is and what he ahs achieved. He wants to know if it was all worth it in the end. The truth to me sometimes comes down to whether or not it is what I wanted or what everyone else wanted.
Now I have to go out and do what I want to do for myself. Maybe this time I had realized anything I need to do is for me. The past can be used as a tool for the future, but living in it is a bad thing.
After all I have done what no other WWA Star has done, Held every singles title I can get twice, so why stop there I am going to make it three times each.
