The Ring Area
When writing matches it is helpful to have a clear picture of what the GCW set looks like. Below you'll find a basic sketch of the GCW ring area.

Key
- 1. The MegaTron- GCW's big screen. It is recessed in the set a bit, leaving a ledge on front that can theoretically be mounted.
- 2. The Stage- The facade of the set is crisscrossed with metal bars with could conceivably be climbed. The stage itself is crosshatched metal grating, which allows pyrotechnics to pass through. It is approxmiately 100 feet long and 20 feet deep. It is elevated eight feet off ground level.
- 3. The Ramp- Made of the same material as the stage, it inclines down to ground level.
- 4. The Crowd- All white space outside the black borders represents fan seating.
- 5. The Guardrail- Though it is called the guardrail, the railing itself is beneath a layer of deep blue protective padding. The guardrail is extremely sturdy and difficult to break. The padding is removable.
- 6. The Steel Steps- The steps are in two sections; a large bottom section and a smaller upper section.
- 7. The Ring- Duh. It's the ring. GCW's ropes are black, the turnbuckle pads are blue. The canvas is a plain gray canvas. The ring curtains have event designs printed on them. Beneath the ring GCW keeps basic ring equipment, including sledgehammers and wrenches. Extra chairs and ladders are also stored beneath the ring.
- 8. The Announce Table- This is where JB and Yale sit to call the show.
- 9. The Spanish Announce Table- This is where Juan Sanchez and Eduardo Romero Miranda Cardenal of the Spanish Announce Team sit. The Spanish Announce table is a gravitational anomaly that tends to attract falling wrestlers. This phenomenon has never been explained.
- 10. The Floor- The floor area is the area surrounding the ring. The floor itself is typically hard concrete, so a layer of black gym mats surrounds the ring to soften a fall. The mats are difficult to pull up while the ring is still assembled, but with some effort can be peeled back to expose the concrete.
- 11. Tech Table- Most GCW production is controlled from the production truck out back. However, a number of functions are performed from a table inside the arena within view of the ring. The table is located here, beneath the stage and largely out of sight of the crowd.
